Privacy Policy
Rural Gear Math is a small informational website that publishes calculators, buyer guides, and field notes for rural property owners. This page explains, in plain English, what happens when you visit.
Information collected
The site uses standard web analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, general geography, device type, and referring source. It may also collect basic server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from this data.
Affiliate links
Some buyer guides may include affiliate links to third-party retailers such as Amazon. When you click one of those links and make a qualifying purchase, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those retailers have their own privacy policies that govern any data collected on their sites.
Rural Gear HQ participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Prices and availability are shown on Amazon at the time of purchase and are not published on this site. Some pages also link to digital downloads on Etsy, where Etsy's own policies apply.
Advertising
The site may add advertising tools in the future. If that happens, this policy will be updated to reflect the specific ad networks used and any cookie or measurement behavior they introduce.
Forms and submissions
The site does not currently offer a contact form or account signup. Please do not submit private information (such as financial details, medical information, or sensitive personal identifiers) through the site unless a contact form is later added and clearly explains how the data is handled.
Cookies
Analytics tools and, in the future, ad tools may set cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies in settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not break the calculators or buyer guides.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Updates
This policy may be updated as the site adds tools or features. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
